Roy Byers lettered in three sports while at North High School in Denver in the 1920’s. After graduating, he attended the University of Denver.
He was a three-sport All-Rocky Mountain Conference athlete at the University of Denver, where he lettered in football, baseball, basketball, and tennis.
Byers coached Manual High School to three straight state baseball titles in the 1940’s before entering the field of administration in 1952. He was inducted to the Colorado High School Coaches Association in 1965.
He is also a member of the Denver Prep Sports Hall of Fame.
