DENVER —CSHOF President & CEO Tom Lawrence announced on Friday that all tickets to the 2017 Colorado Sports Hall of Fame Induction & Awards Banquet are sold out.
“This caps off a tremendous amount of work preparing for the event,” Lawrence said. “The public support which we receive from around the state is truly gratifying.”
The 53rd annual CSHOF Induction and Awards banquet, which is the longest running yearly dinner and award banquet in Colorado history, will be held again at the Denver Marriott City Center on Thursday, April 27th. The banquet will begin with a reception at 5:15 p.m. MDT, following with a dinner and awards program from 6:30-9:30 p.m. MDT.
“We have always had great support and revenue from this sellout, allowing us to continue making significant contributions to our charitable youth sports programs within our state,” Lawrence said, adding that the final tally of tickets sold was over 850.
The 2017 Class of the Hall of Fame Inductees are Champ Bailey, Dante Bichette, Jeremy Bloom, Maurice “Stringy” Ervin, Hashim Khan and John Wooten.
This year’s star co-emcees/presenters are Dave Logan and Susie Wargin; and Jake Schroeder will sing the national anthem.
Other award winners are the 2016 Athletes of the Year- Von Miller and Emma Coburn & Jenny Simpson; King of the Hill Award winner Mike MacIntyre; 2016 College Athletes of the Year- Ellen Nystrom and Justin Dvorak; 2016 High School Athletes of the Year- Brie Oakley and Dylan McCaffrey; and the 2016 Athlete with Disabilities Award winner Joy Rondeau.
