For 37 years, the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame was no more than a board of directors operating out of the Denver Chamber of Commerce. Banquet and Selection Committees focused solely on honoring inductees each year at an annual awards dinner.
The signature event of the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, the Induction and Awards Banquet is held every spring and brings together around 800 people to celebrate the accomplishments of Colorado Athletes.
For the past couple years, The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame has presented a first-class golf tournament. The Golf Classic is hosted in September at the world famous Broadmoor Hotel and Golf Club in Colorado Springs.
A collaboration between the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame, Colorado High School Activities Association and INVESCO Field at Mile High. The December 4A and 5A high school championship football games held at INVESCO Field at Mile High.

Sports Journalism Seminar

Originally produced the previous four years for Colorado High School journalists and photojournalists, this year's event will be open to college and other school students. Members of the Colorado chapter of the American Society of Media Photographers and the Denver Post photography department will critique student work from 5:00 p.m. The evening program, featuring top sports journalists and photojournalists, begins at 7:00 p.m. with an informal dinner hour at 6:00 p.m.

Sports photographs to be eligible should be taken during the current calendar year - from Jan 1, 2009, until the deadline for submission on Nov. 30, 2009. Entries may be sent as either DVDs or prints to Rich Clarkson and Associates LLC, 1099 18th St. Suite 2840, Denver CO 80202 or entries may be submitted electronically to highschoolcontest@ncaaphotos.com. Each entrant is limited to no more than 10 images and those that are emailed should be no larger than 10 inches at 200 DPI.
